Product Description

An excellent long blooming perennial with long, spring flowering spikes of light purple-blue spring flowers. Beautiful and long lived, this stately border plant is especially suited to partly shaded areas.

Good for cutting, but contact with the foliage may irritate skin; all parts are highly toxic if ingested.

Sow thinly, outdoors, March-April or September-October, in flowering position. Thin as necessary when plants are well established, the following Spring. Or, indoors, January-March, in trays of seed compost. Spring-sown seeds are best if pre-chilled. Mix the seed with damp sand in a plastic bag and leave in the refrigerator for a month. Plant out to permanent positions when plants are well established. Flowers: June to early August.
