Description

Shallot Jermor Bulbs are a much-loved French longue type variety, bred in the southern Rhône Valley and celebrated for their exceptional flavour and reliable performance. Producing attractive copper-skinned bulbs with crisp pink-tinged flesh, they combine exhibition-quality appearance with a wonderfully sweet taste that makes every harvest rewarding.

Sweeter and milder than onions, shallots are a versatile kitchen favourite, perfect for adding delicate flavour to salads, sauces and dressings. Rich in vitamins A, B, C and E, they are a valuable addition to the kitchen garden and an easy way to enjoy delicious home-grown ingredients throughout the season.

Plant outdoors from September to November in a sunny, well-drained position and allow the bulbs to establish through the cooler months. Each mature bulb develops into a cluster of up to seven shallots, creating a productive crop that is easy to grow and suitable for gardeners of all experience levels.

Harvest from June to July once the foliage has naturally died back, then dry thoroughly before storing. With excellent keeping qualities, the harvest can be enjoyed for months, making this a dependable choice for gardeners looking to grow their own flavour-packed produce.

All bulbs are certified disease and virus free and selected for dependable garden performance. Supplied as individual mature bulbs ready for autumn planting.
