Product Description

One of the most popular species available for dense evergreen hedging, this reliable fast growing Laurel tolerates most soils and grows well in sun or part shade. Guaranteed to ensure privacy and screening, protecting from the noise and the hustle and bustle outside the garden, these thick and bushy plants retain their leaves in winter and respond well to pruning as hedges. They have the added appeal of fragrant, long white flower spikes in late spring to early summer, followed by berries which although harmful to humans will attract wild birds to the garden. Mature plants make an excellent wind break in exposed windy locations and show excellent tolerance to drought .
