Potato Charlotte (Second Cropping)

Traditionally a favourite salad potato and now a wonderful second cropping variety. Charlotte is lovely as a 'new potato' and wonderful cold in salads, it stays firm when cooked and can be sautéed or even roasted. A long oval variety, producing yellow skinned waxy potatoes with creamy yellow flesh. Fine flavoured and highly recommended.

Potatoes are one of the most rewarding crops to grow, producing so much from so little. The smell of freshly dug soil as you lift them is unbeatable, as is their 'just harvested' taste. Savour freshly dug new potatoes from late autumn into winter - imagine lifting them first thing on Christmas morning! These late croppers produce slightly smaller yields than main season crops but if anything, this makes you appreciate them all the more!

The varieties listed have been kept in a cool store to stop them chitting but, once removed from our store in mid July, they quickly come into delayed growth. Planted in late July, they will crop from October and with a little straw protection, through to Christmas.

lant the tubers as soon as received, they do not need to be chitted. Keep them frost-free to ensure good crop, if grown in bags move them to frost-free position. They will be ready to start lifting by the end of October/November. Best kept in the ground or container until just before needed.

Potatoes are delivered in 1.5kg bags, each pack containing approx. 15-20 tubers.
