Philadelphus Belle Etiole Shrub Plants

Tolerant of any moderately fertile soil type, as long as it is free-draining, in full sun or part shade. Plants don't generally require much maintenance but flowers on the previous years growth so any pruning should be done after flowering, just to dead head, maintain a dense, tidy habit and promote strong new growth. Once established, the occasional pruning of dead and old woody stems to encourage new growth will do. Plants will benefit from a mulch of well-rotted compost or manure in autumn or spring.
