Product Description

A blue flowering version of Hydrangea Bolero, grown in ericaceous compost to create its strikingly colour, a regular application of Mr Fothergill's hydrangea colourant ensure it stays this remarkable blue. With large and showy, rounded flower heads which appear further along its stems, unlike many other Hydrangeas which flower only at the ends, creating a more voluminous effect. Flowering from early summer through September, with a compact, spreading habit, this elegant plant thrives in sunny or lightly shaded borders and makes a delightful addition to patio pots. Its height and spread reach up to 120cm (4'), making it extremely versatile and ideal for smaller spaces, creating a stunning display wherever it grows. As the flowers fade the leaves carry on the appeal, turning a beautiful rusty red in the autumn.
