A striking evergreen shrub with A striking evergreen shrub with large and glossy, variegated leaves streaked and speckled with white. Also known as 'Japanese Aralia' or 'Castor Oil Plant', it is ideal as a focal point, in containers or backdrop for lush, tropical style planting schemes. Although not fully hardy, plants will thrive in a sheltered, sunny position and survive winter with a little frost protection. They make an excellent container specimen, so can be moved to a frost free location in colder regions. Plants can eventually grow up to 4m (12').
