Product Description

A charming an elegant early flowering, relatively compact variety with pristine white flowers tinged with green stripes, complemented by captivating chocolate-red centres against a backdrop of mid-green foliage. Blooming profusely, with large flower 12-15cm (5-6") across, often appearing in two waves, late spring and early summer then late summer to early autumn, the compact bushy habit of Clematis Miss Bateman is ideal for smaller spaces and patio containers, as well as covering mid-sized trellis, pergolas and archways. Clematis Miss Bateman is recognised as one of the better varieties for use as a cut flower, due to its slightly thicker and stronger than average stems. Remove all leaves and place cut flowers into water immediately, blooms can then last from 4 to 10 days depending on room temperature. Height 1.8-2.4m (6-8').
