Product Description

Originating from Eastern Europe, this superb Blackcurrant variety is literally bursting with flavour! The fruits are larger than most and contain 15% sugar ensuring each currant has a deliciously sweet flavour.

Blackcurrant Ebony is excellent at coping with our ever changing climate and shows great resistance to mildew. Highly recommended and very productive. It's easy to grow and will thrive in a sunny or particularly shaded spot. Highly nutritious and perfect for pies and crumbles, jams and jellies and for winemaking.

Blackcurrant Ebony

Received at the start of the year in great condition. This plant has grown enormously since then, 3 currants found hiding amongst the leaves gave us a good idea of the fruit we hope to enjoy in 2022 as we understand that it will fruit on this year’s growth. Will update if there is anything to add once we have had our first proper harvest. Delighted to have bought this plant.
