Niger is seed from a small yellow African daisy. It’s tremendously rich in oil and is very nutritious and especially loved by Goldfinches in particular. Because it’s so small it needs to be fed from a specialist feeder which is perfectly suited to the beaks of goldfinches and other small birds such as siskins and linnet.

Goldfinches often feed in flocks, so a larger capacity feeder is recommended to be rewarded by dazzling display of these delightful, colourful visitors.
