Product Description

Closer to leeks than to true garlic, Elephant Garlic is increasing in popularity due to its warm and mild garlic flavour and its ease of growing. Naturally found in the wilder parts of Western Europe and also in England, along the Cornish coast, it is highly ornamental too, producing tall, mauve coloured flowers during early to midsummer.

Its mild, almost sweet flavour makes it perfect for eating raw in salads, or chopped and sprinkled over stews and casseroles and the flavour is wonderful if roasted whole and enjoyed as a special side vegetable.

Each year we work with our friends at the Garlic Farm, one of the world’s leading garlic farms, and all of our garlic is sourced from them ensuring we always supply superior top quality garlic from expert growers. Easy to grow and care for, it can even be grown in pots on the patio! You should always buy garlic from a reputable source and never plant shop bought, cooking garlic. All of our bulbs are certified as disease and virus free.
