Product Description

An outstanding new variety! The world’s first double cropping blueberry, producing sweet and tasty berries in July and again in September. As its name suggests, Hortblue Petite is compact and bushy in habit reaching a maximum of 1m(40in) in height -perfect for container growing on the patio. Very hardy, tolerating really low temperatures without affecting the crop.

We offer all our potted fruit plants in 2ltr pots, this will give you an older, more established plant with a bigger root ball than those offered in 9cm pots. The extra space gives the roots more room to grow, which in turn allows them to absorb more nutrients leading to a stronger plant that will establish more quickly and fruit more prolifically to begin with.

Floricane varieties fruit on canes produced in the previous year while Primocane varieties produce fruits on current season growth.

Plant was basically dead when it arrived

The plant was virtually dead on arrival. Shipped by yodel who delayed delivery by 2 days, all the compost was loose in the box and plant was completely dried out and brown. Have planted in fresh compost in the hopes of revival but it also looks like it has a fungal infection. Expensive mistake won’t order a live plant again.
