When to Sow Pumpkin Seeds

Pumpkin seeds should be sown indoors from late April to May for the best results. Use small pots with quality seed compost, keeping them in a warm, bright place. If sowing outdoors, wait until late May or early June when the soil has warmed up and the risk of frost has completely passed. Early sowing gives your pumpkins plenty of time to develop before harvest in autumn.
