There’s nothing quite like the flavour of freshly picked peas and many of us will have childhood memories of standing in a grandparent’s garden eating them straight from the pod, before even making it to the kitchen.
This super value Pea plant collection consists of 30 multi-sown plug plugs, 10 each of:
Kelvedon Wonder (First early) A prolific early variety offering masses of small peas in well filled, dark green pods. Dwarf variety 45cm (18in) so requires little staking.
Jaguar (Second early) Fast maturing and ideal for carrying on cropping after Kelvedon Wonder. Pods are produced in pairs, each holding up to nine peas. Good disease resistance ensuring they remain healthy through the season. Ht 75cm (30in)
Hurst Green Shaft (Maincrop) AGM The long, pointed pods, presented in pairs, each hold about 10 delicious peas. Resistant to disease and capable of long cropping, this high yielder will win you prizes.
Vegetable plants are the perfect choice if you do not have the time or the facilities for raising your own vegetable plants from seed. They are also useful for replacing plants lost to the weather or pests and diseases.
