Around 25% of hedgehogs do not survive from one year to the next. The possible reasons include; modern agricultural techniques, poison slug pellets, general pesticides, garden tools and bonfires, road deaths, and an absence of safe habitats.
The Wildlife World Hedgehog Retreat is designed to be a safe retreat for hedgehogs. It features a sturdy, rustproofed steel frame with an FSC® waterproof lining, an integrated predator defence tunnel, and an attractive natural rattan finish.
Locate the retreat within some cover, out of the prevailing wind, preferably in an area with nearby vegetation. Pile leaves or foliage around the house for further camouflage and insulation. If boisterous dogs or badgers are in the area, the retreat may be anchored down for extra security using 2-4 tent pegs hooked over the metal frame and pushed into the ground.
All wildlife products should be checked annually for damage, loose elements, and cleanliness during winter. MAKE SURE THE RETREAT IS NOT IN USE BEFORE THE ANNUAL INSPECTION.
Not suitable for sick or rescued hedgehogs that require regular inspection. If feeding hedgehogs always leave a bowl of fresh water out.
Hedgehogs eat: invertebrates such as slugs, beetles, earwigs and caterpillars. They will also eat worms and will eat millipedes.

Returns Policy
Seeds If you have any concerns or problems with your seeds, please return the packet to us for replacement using the returns address label on your despatch note, telling us what the problem is. Returning the packet will enable us to trace the batch from which it was packed, and to thoroughly investigate any quality control issues.

All other products Should you have any problems with live product or garden equipment items, please contact our Customer Services Team advising the nature of your concern before returning the product.
Return Postage
Costs If a product we have supplied is defective, damaged, or incorrectly supplied, we will be happy to resolve this issue at no cost, either by replacing, refunding or collecting and exchanging the item. If you wish to return a product which was correctly supplied, but which did not meet with your expectations, in accordance with your rights under The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations, we may require you to cover the cost of return. Please contact our Customer Services Team before returning the goods in this case, who will confirm the correct return address and method of return.
Refund Payments
Once a returned item arrives with us, we will refund where appropriate using the same payment method used at the time of ordering, within 14 days.
