Description
Showbench Onion Collection brings together three superb onion varieties chosen for their exhibition potential and excellent kitchen qualities. With 60 module-grown young plants, you can enjoy a rewarding crop of well-formed onions without starting from seed.
Collection includes 20 plants of each variety:
- Exhibition – impressive large bulbs with a mild flavour and crisp texture.
- Tough Ball F1 – reliable, uniform onions with firm flesh, strong skins and good resistance to bolting; ideal for the under-250g exhibition class.
- Fasto F1 – early-maturing, rounded golden onions with good flavour and storage potential.
Grow on under protection until conditions are suitable, then harden off and plant in a sunny spot with fertile, well-drained soil. Give plants extra room if aiming for larger showbench bulbs. Harvest as the foliage yellows and falls over, and dry thoroughly before storing.
Supplied as 60 young plants, 20 of each variety.
