Poor quality on arrival

Plants looked like they had been forced very lethargic and pale in colour

Very disappointing

Unfortunately the shallots and broccoli were delivered whilst I was away and I arranged for an alternative delivery date. They never arrived. I contacted customer services who kindly arranged another delivery. The timing was 7pm on a Friday evening! I wasn’t home and neither were my neighbours. I was unable to contact Yodel so had to call customer service again. I received the shallots but never received the broccoli and then they were out of stock. So the shallot ‘plants’ I bought turned out to be multiple seedlings in wrapping (not in pots). I contacted customer service online which was a waste of time as the ‘bot’ was no help at all. By this time it was too late to pot them on, which they needed, so I planted them straight in the ground. From a
cluster of 15 Multisown, I have about five which have survived, although, I think it is now impossible for them to become a bunch of shallots and shall most likely be pulled and eaten as salad onion. I did receive a refund for the broccoli. I definitely won’t try and save time by ordering from Fothergill again.
