SweetCorn Swift F1 Seeds

F1 Sweet Corn seeds are the first-generation hybrid seeds created by crossing two different parent plants. The F1 Sweet Corn variety is an early-growing, compact plant that does well in cooler climates like the UK. It typically produces 2-3 cobs per plant with bright yellow kernels that have a rich, sweet flavour.

The best time to plant Sweet Corn Swift F1 seeds is indoors in March to May at 18-21°C. After the last frost, usually late May or early June, move seedlings outside after hardening off. For direct sowing outside, wait until the soil warms to at least 15°C, usually in May. Plant seeds in blocks, 1.5cm (½") deep and about 35 to 45 cm (14 to 18 inches) apart in both directions to ensure good pollination and healthy cobs.

Sweet Corn Swift plants typically grow to about 180-200 cm (6 to 6.5 feet) tall with a spread of around 30-45 cm (12 to 18 inches). This compact size makes them suitable for most garden plots and allotments.
