Sunset Potato Maincrop 1kg
An improved Desiree, Sunset combines the familiar qualities of this favourite variety with stronger blight resistance, reduced bruising, and added resilience to potato cyst nematode. Its attractive violet-red flowers and red skins with shallow eyes make it a pleasure to grow, while the creamy flesh delivers on both flavour and versatility.
This reliable maincrop is excellent for roasting, baking, mashing, and turning into chips or wedges, making it a dependable all-rounder for the kitchen. Growing to around 60cm tall with a compact, upright habit, it thrives in full sun. Supplied as a 1kg pack (approx. 8–14 tubers), Sunset will reward you with generous September harvests year after year.
