Description

Second Cropping Potatoes - Charlotte (1kg) from Fothergill's offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy fresh, home-grown new potatoes later in the season, perfect for Christmas lunch. These specially selected tubers are kept dormant in temperature-controlled storage until mid-summer, ready to plant in late July or August. In just two months they will produce a crop, which can remain in the ground or container until needed.

The Charlotte variety is a French-bred favourite, prized for its smooth skin, light yellow, waxy flesh, and rich flavour. Resistant to blight and scab, these tubers are ideal for fresh salads, roasting, or sautéing. Plant as soon as received, no chitting is required. For best results, grow in a sheltered, frost-free position, either in the ground, containers, or potato growing sacks placed in a sunny spot, and water regularly to keep the compost moist. Each 1kg bag contains approximately 8-14 tubers.
