Description

Potato Sarpo Una (Second Early Seed Potato) stands apart from the rest of the Sarpo family as an early-maturing second early variety, ready to harvest from as early as mid-June. Its attractive pink-skinned tubers have a delicate, waxy texture that is perfect for delicious salads served hot or cold, while allowing them to mature for longer produces excellent baking potatoes. Supplied as 1kg (approx. 8-14 tubers).

Ideal for potato sacks, containers and smaller growing spaces, Sarpo Una is easy to grow and delivers dependable crops with very little maintenance. As expected from Sarpo varieties, it offers excellent resistance to late blight, strong resistance to a range of other diseases and good drought tolerance, helping gardeners enjoy healthy plants and reliable harvests year after year.

Growing your own potatoes is a rewarding experience, from preparing the tubers to lifting your first fresh crop. Chitting before planting is recommended for second early varieties to encourage quicker establishment and heavier yields. Place the tubers with the blunt end facing upwards in an old egg box until the shoots reach approximately 1-1.5cm (½-1in) before planting outdoors.

Maincrop Seed Potatoes
