Grafted Pepper Pillar Sweet Red Vegetable Plants are an easy and rewarding way to enjoy colourful, sweet peppers picked fresh from your own garden. Fruits develop along a central stem, creating compact, upright plants that fit beautifully into patios, containers and smaller growing spaces. Ripening from green to a rich red, the sweet fruits bring vibrant colour and fresh flavour to salads, family meals and roasting, or can simply be enjoyed straight from the plant.

Grafted vegetable plants offer greater vigour and improved resistance to soil-borne pests and diseases, such as nematodes – particularly useful when growing in greenhouse border soil each year where crop rotation can be limited. The grafting process brings together a vigorous species rootstock and a productive hybrid variety, helping to create stronger plants capable of producing more fruits, heavier yields and a longer productive life than standard seedlings.

Although traditionally grown in a greenhouse, plants can also crop well outdoors in a warm, sunny and sheltered position. Keep them well watered and fed during active growth to encourage plenty of colourful peppers throughout the cropping season, including during cooler British summers.
