Penstemon Plum Jerkum Flower Plants

This strong and reliable penstemon produces rich plum-coloured, tubular flowers held on dark, upright stems from early summer through to September. Its compact, upright habit makes it ideal for adding depth and contrast to borders, containers and patio pots, where the deep tones sit beautifully alongside lighter planting.

Semi-evergreen, lance-shaped foliage provides structure beyond the flowering season, while the long-lasting blooms are an excellent source of nectar for pollinators. Thriving in a sunny position and reaching around 70cm in height, this variety offers dependable colour and interest with minimal maintenance.

Young Plants

Grown in individual large plug cells measuring up to 12cm (4.8in) in height. Plants are well rooted and will be supplied (where necessary) with the central stem ‘pinched’ to encourage strong and bushy growth. The foliage height will vary according to variety, but on average will be between 4 and 8cm. On arrival, simply pot up into 6 or 7cm pots, or, if you have room, plant directly into baskets and containers and keep somewhere warm and light.
