Penstemon Czar Flower Plants

This hardy penstemon produces striking bicoloured blooms in rich purple with crisp white centres, flowering reliably from early summer through to late September. Upright and compact in habit, it brings structure and colour to borders, containers and patio pots, making it easy to weave into both classic and contemporary garden spaces.

Semi-evergreen, lance-shaped foliage provides interest beyond the flowering season, while the long-lasting tubular blooms are an excellent source of nectar for pollinators. Thriving in sunny positions, this variety reaches around 70cm in height and offers dependable performance year after year with minimal effort.

Young Plants

Grown in individual large plug cells measuring up to 12cm (4.8in) in height. Plants are well rooted and will be supplied (where necessary) with the central stem ‘pinched’ to encourage strong and bushy growth. The foliage height will vary according to variety, but on average will be between 4 and 8cm. On arrival, simply pot up into 6 or 7cm pots, or, if you have room, plant directly into baskets and containers and keep somewhere warm and light.
