Product Description
Oh Sow Simple Mixed Poppy Seeds from Fothergills offer a beautiful and easy-to-grow addition to your garden. This hardy annual can be sown directly where you want it to flower, making it an ideal choice for informal borders or cottage gardens. The poppies produce stunning blooms that resemble delicate tissue paper, adding vibrant color and texture to your outdoor space.Sow the seeds outdoors at a depth of 0.5cm in finely prepared, well-drained soil that has been pre-watered. Seedlings typically appear within 14–28 days. Once they have established, thin the seedlings to 15cm apart and continue to water until the plants are fully established. For a continuous display of blooms, sow seeds every two to three weeks. To create a more natural, pleasing effect, try sowing in curves rather than straight lines.Late summer and autumn sowings will flower the following year, often blooming earlier than those sown in spring. These vibrant, tissue paper-like blooms will provide beauty and charm throughout the growing season.
