The Cosmos Tall Mix is particularly well-suited to the back of borders, where its striking flowers and graceful foliage can shine. This reliable border plant performs wonderfully, regardless of summer weather, ensuring a lasting display of color throughout the season.For the best results, sow indoors by planting seeds 0.5cm deep in trays of compost. Water well and place the trays in a warm spot, ideally at a temperature of 15-20°C. Keep the soil moist, and you should see seedlings emerge in about 14-28 days. Once the seedlings are large enough, transplant them 5cm apart in other trays, handling them by their leaves to avoid damaging the stems. Before planting outside, gradually acclimatize the plants to outdoor conditions, making sure to avoid frost. When planting outdoors, sow the seeds 1.5cm deep in finely prepared soil that has been watered beforehand. Thin the seedlings to 30cm apart and keep the plants well-watered for optimal growth.
