Long Harvest Garlic Bulb Collection is supplied as 6 bulbs in total (3 packs, one of each variety, with 2 bulbs per pack), carefully selected to give you a succession of delicious home-grown garlic from late May through to August.

Bringing together three tried-and-tested varieties with different harvest times, this excellent-value collection helps extend your garlic season and gives you a range of flavours and colours to enjoy in the kitchen.

This collection contains:

1 pack (2 bulbs) Garlic Extra Early Wight (Hardneck) – our earliest harvesting garlic, ready to lift from as early as late May. It produces clean white-skinned bulbs with brilliant white flesh and a delicious, well-balanced flavour.

1 pack (2 bulbs) Garlic Rhapsody Wight (Softneck) – a striking early purple garlic, ready to harvest from June. Its large bulbs develop attractive deep purple streaking and have a fresh, zingy flavour. It can also be harvested young as green garlic.

1 pack (2 bulbs) Garlic Carcassonne Wight (Hardneck)) – a vigorous, reliable variety producing well-shaped bulbs with attractive pink cloves and a rich, fragrant flavour that holds beautifully when cooked.

Planting these three varieties together gives you a longer season of fresh, home-grown garlic, with harvests extending from late May through to August. All are ideal for autumn planting and can be grown in garden beds, allotments or suitable containers.

Our garlic bulbs are carefully sourced in partnership with expert growers at The Garlic Farm on the Isle of Wight and are certified disease and virus free, giving you confidence from planting through to harvest.

Garlic Types
Hardneck Garlic (Allium sativum var. ophioscorodon) is generally more hardy than softneck garlic and tends to produce larger bulbs with fewer cloves. Hardneck varieties produce scapes in early summer, which can be removed and enjoyed in cooking.

Softneck Garlic (Allium sativum var. sativum) generally matures more quickly and stores for longer. Its soft stems also make it ideal for traditional garlic plaits.
