Galanthus Flore Pleno Flower Bulbs are a wonderful way to welcome the gardening year, producing charming double white flowers when colour is at its most scarce. Pure white outer petals surround beautifully detailed inner petals marked with green, creating a classic snowdrop display that signals the approach of spring.

Supplied as a pack of 20 bulbs, this RHS Award of Garden Merit variety flowers from January to February on neat stems around 20cm (8in) tall. The lightly fragrant blooms bring interest to borders, containers and shaded garden corners.

Plant from September to November in moist but well-drained soil in full sun, partial shade or dappled shade. It is particularly effective beneath deciduous trees and shrubs, where it will gradually naturalise and spread into larger clumps for displays that return year after year.

Bulb sizes are measured by circumference in centimetres. A 5/6 bulb measures approximately 5-6cm around. Larger bulbs generally contain more stored energy, helping to support strong growth and an impressive flowering display.
