Description

English Bluebells Bulbs produce the familiar fragrant, bell-shaped violet-blue flowers associated with spring woodland displays, with occasional white blooms sometimes appearing among them. Their arching stems and spreading habit create an informal carpet of colour when planted in groups.

Supplied as a pack of 20 bulbs, plants reach around 40cm (16in) and flower from April to May. Bluebells are particularly well suited to partly shaded areas and can naturalise readily when left undisturbed. Plant from September to November in well-drained soil in partial shade or full sun.

Bulb size: 8/9
Bulb sizes are measured by circumference in centimetres. An 8/9 bulb measures approximately 8-9cm around. Larger bulbs generally contain more stored energy, helping to support strong growth and an impressive flowering display.
