Cucumber La Diva Seeds

Sow ‘La Diva’ Cucumber seeds indoors from February to May. Plant seeds 0.5cm (1/4in) deep, on their edge, in small pots filled with compost. Keep the compost moist and maintain a warm temperature of around 21-24°C (70-75°F). Once the seedlings develop three or four leaves each, transplant them into 12cm (5in) pots.

For outdoor sowing, plant seeds directly where they will grow from May to June. Sow them 0.5cm (1/4in) deep, placing two seeds per position with 60cm (2ft) between rows. Once the seedlings are large enough, thin them out, leaving the strongest plant in each position. Protect young plants with cloches if the weather is cold. Keep your cucumber plants well-watered and in a sunny, sheltered spot. Once fruits begin to form, feed regularly for best results. 

Harvest from June to October when the cucumbers reach around 15cm (6in) in length.

Cucumber ‘La Diva’ plants typically grow to around 1.5-2m (5-6ft) in height when supported. They are vigorous climbers, so providing a trellis or support will help them grow upright and produce healthy fruits.

Plant ‘La Diva’ cucumber seeds indoors from February to May, or sow them directly outdoors from May to June when the soil has warmed up. If starting indoors, transplant young plants outside once the risk of frost has passed and temperatures are consistently warm.
