Blueberry Patriot combines delicious home-grown fruit with plenty of garden character. This vigorous, exceptionally hardy blueberry produces well-flavoured blue-black berries in mid to late summer, followed by attractive foliage that turns red in autumn.

Reaching around 2m, Patriot is particularly useful in colder gardens and is more tolerant of heavier soils than many blueberries, although it still needs acidic growing conditions. Give it moisture-retentive but well-drained acid soil in full sun or partial shade, or grow it in a large patio container filled with ericaceous compost.
