Anemone coronaria The Bride Pure white flowers with fresh green centres bring a calm, bright note to borders and containers. Their simple, open shape works beautifully with colourful anemones and other early flowers, helping every shade around them shine.

With neat growth around 25cm high, they are easy to place in a pot near the door or along the front of a sunny border. Plant in groups for an elegant display and enjoy a few stems in a vase.

Growing advice: Before planting, soak the dry bulbs in water for several hours to help them wake up. Plant in spring in a sunny, sheltered spot with well-drained soil, or use pots filled with peat-free compost that drains freely. Water when needed as growth begins, but avoid leaving the bulbs sitting in wet soil. Protect pots from severe frost and excessive winter rain; let the soil become drier once the leaves die back. Flowering depends on planting time and weather.
