Description

Allium caeruleum Bulbs produce striking balls of lilac-blue flowers that bring a distinctive cool-toned accent to late-spring borders. Their neat rounded flower heads sit above upright stems, making them easy to combine with other spring and early-summer perennials.

Supplied as a pack of 20 bulbs, plants reach around 60cm (2ft) and flower from May to June. The decorative blooms are suitable for cutting and drying and are attractive to bees and butterflies. Plant from September to November in well-drained soil in full sun.

Bulb size: 5/6
Bulb sizes are measured by circumference in centimetres. A 5/6 bulb measures approximately 5-6cm around. Larger bulbs generally contain more stored energy, helping to support strong growth and an impressive flowering display.
