Leatherjacket Nematodes are microscopic, parasitic worms which seek out soil larvae of Leatherjacket then feed and multiply inside and stop them feeding on your plants. Nematodes are naturally found in the soil, by using this product you are simply topping it up. Leatherjackets are the larval stage of the crane fly or daddy-long-legs. When the adult crane flies begin to appear they will, within a few days begin to lay eggs that will hatch and within a couple of weeks cause damage to your lawn. This usually takes place around the end of August but can happen sooner depending on the weather. Leatherjacket nematodes stop the larvae of the crane fly and help prevent damage being caused to your lawn.
This product will be despatched within 3 working days, from Monday to Thursday by 1st Class post. Please make sure you order it when you need it.
- One packet treats 100sq.m.
- It is safe to use and harmless to children, pets, birds, and wildlife.
- Recommended minimum soil temperature is 10°C (50°F).
- Recommended outdoor application time: Best applied around February to April, and again from August to October, can be used outside of the recommended dates and may still help to control the pest.
- Soil or compost must be moist before and for at least 2 weeks after application, avoid waterlogging.
- Apply during evenings or dull conditions to avoid full sunlight.
- Must be stored in refrigerator and used within best before date stated, do not freeze.
- Please note these are a live product and have an expiry date usually about 2 weeks, expiry date printed on the packet, non-returnable.
- Do not use chemical insecticides during the use of nematodes.

Nematodes products contain Nematodes (microscopic worms) which are renowned biological control products, providing many benefits over traditional gardening chemicals and are a key ally for organic gardeners. All products are simple to apply, and safe to use and harmless to children, pets, birds, and wildlife.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a live product and needs to be used upon receipt. Use entire packet at one time and do not store made up solution. The entire spray solution should be applied once mixed. Use as soon as possible upon delivery. Usual expiry date is around two weeks once you receive the nematodes. The product comes complete with instructions. Apply using a watering can with a coarse rose or nematode applicator. Apply to moist soil and make sure the soil remains moist for at least two weeks after applying nematodes. Nematodes can survive the odd frost. Apply early morning or late evening to minimize the effect of heat and sunlight.

Returning the packet will enable us to trace the batch from which it was packed, and to thoroughly investigate any quality control issues.

Return Postage
Costs If a product we have supplied is defective, damaged, or incorrectly supplied, we will be happy to resolve this issue at no cost, either by replacing, refunding or collecting and exchanging the item. If you wish to return a product which was correctly supplied, but which did not meet with your expectations, in accordance with your rights under The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations, we may require you to cover the cost of return. Please contact our Customer Services Team before returning the goods in this case, who will confirm the correct return address and method of return.
Refund Payments
Once a returned item arrives with us, we will refund where appropriate using the same payment method used at the time of ordering, within 14 days.
