Fritillaria meleagris Flower Bulbs, commonly known as snakeshead fritillary, produce distinctive nodding purple bells patterned with the characteristic snakeskin-like chequered markings. Their delicate form makes them a beautiful choice for the front of borders, containers and naturalised planting in grass or woodland-style areas.

Supplied as a pack of 15 bulbs, plants reach around 15-20cm (8-10in) and flower from April to May. They are easy to grow and can gradually naturalise when left undisturbed. Plant from September to November in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade.

Bulb size: 7/8
Bulb sizes are measured by circumference in centimetres. A 7/8 bulb measures approximately 7-8cm around. Larger bulbs generally contain more stored energy, helping to support strong growth and an impressive flowering display.
