Fritillaria imperialis Rubra flower Bulbs make a striking statement in the spring garden, producing tall sturdy stems topped with whorls of orange, bell-shaped flowers beneath a distinctive crown of lush green foliage. Their architectural form adds height and character to borders and works particularly well in large patio containers.

Supplied as a pack of 3 bulbs, plants reach around 90cm (3ft) and flower in April. Plant from September to November in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Once established, these hardy perennials can return each spring with their distinctive display.

Bulb sizes are measured by circumference in centimetres. A 20/24 bulb measures approximately 20-24cm around. Larger bulbs generally contain more stored energy, helping to support strong growth and an impressive flowering display.
