Begonia odorata Mixed fills summer baskets with double flowers in a colourful mixture, accompanied by a sweet scent. The cascading stems are especially attractive in pots near a seating area, where you can appreciate the fragrance.

Start the bulbs indoors in spring in trays or pots of free-draining compost, keeping them warm and protected from frost. Move outdoors after the risk of frost has passed. Position in bright, sheltered light or partial shade, water regularly without leaving the compost waterlogged, and feed during flowering. Lift and store the bulbs frost-free before winter.
