Autumn Planting Shallot Bulb Collection combines two exceptional French shallot varieties that are renowned for their outstanding flavour, dependable performance and excellent kitchen versatility. Supplied as a 500g pack of each variety, this collection is perfect for gardeners who enjoy growing premium home-grown ingredients and harvesting abundant crops throughout summer.

This collection includes:

• Shallot Jermor Bulbs – A true French longue type bred in the southern Rhône Valley, producing attractive copper-skinned bulbs with crisp, pink-tinged flesh. Celebrated for its wonderfully sweet flavour and excellent keeping qualities, it is equally at home in the exhibition tent and the family kitchen.

• Shallot Griselle Bulbs – The traditional French grey shallot, sourced directly from specialist growers in France. Its distinctive grey skin, purplish-pink flesh and rich, complex flavour have made it a favourite of professional chefs and passionate home cooks alike.

Plant from September to November in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun, whether in an allotment, raised bed or spacious container. Each mature bulb multiplies into clusters of flavour-packed shallots, ready to harvest during June and July. Sweeter and milder than onions and naturally rich in vitamins A, B, C and E, these easy-to-grow varieties reward gardeners with delicious home-grown produce that stores exceptionally well.
