Product Description

A very striking combination creating a velvety rich planting scheme for beds, borders and patio containers. A perfect pair.

Includes 30 bulbs, 15 each of :

Tulip Queen of the Night (Single late) - One of the most popular of all the dark flowered types and deservedly so! Deep velvety maroon, cup-shaped flowers are produced on very strong and tall stems making it a border favourite.

Tulip First Star (Triumph) - Much admired for its glossy, deep maroon red flowers which appear on tall and elegant stems during April and May. It really is a spectacular variety and definitely one to try.

Tulips are the most popular of all autumn planting bulbs. Such a huge range of varieties and types and so easy to grow, they provide lots of colour with the minimum of effort. Long flowering too, with some varieties blooming in March and others into early June and of course they're brilliant for cut flowers. If your soil is on the heavy side then a handful of grit or sharp sand added to the bottom of the planting hole will help.

Autumn Planting Bulbs

Our spring gardens wouldn't be the same without the bright and vibrant colours that growing bulbs creates. Whether added to beds and borders, or planted into all manner of patio containers and window boxes, their cheerful blooms are a wonderful addition to our gardens. All supplied as top size bulbs and tubers.
