Product Description

Rose Crimson Cascade (Climbing) Bare Root Plants are a robust, richly coloured variety ideal for training up trellises, arches or fences. Producing deep red, fragrant blooms from July through to October, this hardy shrub offers both ornamental value and garden performance. The glossy mid-green leaves provide a fresh backdrop, while its bushy, climbing habit ensures coverage and height. With excellent disease resistance and an RHS Award of Garden Merit, it’s a reliable, flavourful addition to any structured planting scheme.

This variety has been awarded the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM), confirming its outstanding performance, reliability, and resilience in UK gardens. It's a trusted choice for long-lasting colour and structure on walls, arches, and trellises.

Climber: As the name suggests these roses grow tall requiring tying or training around a trellis or wire support against walls or over pergolas. Each variety has specific information about its flower type and fragrance. A climbing rose can be grown permanently in a large 50cm approx. diameter container with a trellis support against a wall or fence or pergola if no soil is available. To get a more natural look why not grow a climbing rose alongside a clematis or honeysuckle where their flowering times complement each other.

These roses are supplied as 2 year old bare root plants with 2 to 3 main branches (breaks).

Planting advice: Plant bare root roses outdoors from October to March. Soak the roots in water (preferably overnight) before planting. Choose a sunny or partially shaded spot with well-drained soil. Dig a hole large enough to accommodate the roots comfortably, and plant deeply enough to cover the graft union (where the branches meet the main stem) just below soil level. Water well after planting and mulch to retain moisture.
