Product Description

Autumn Harvest Brassica Plant Collection is designed to help you enjoy fresh, flavour-packed greens from your garden through the transition from summer to winter. These robust young plants, planted in July, establish quickly and deliver reliable harvests throughout autumn and into early winter—perfect for hearty family meals, Sunday roasts, or everyday cooking.

Our 2025 brassica trials have introduced Cabbage Red Bowl to the collection. Its bright red, oval heads have a naturally sweet flavour and crisp texture, ideal for shredding into coleslaw or adding vibrant colour to salads. As a non-bleeding variety, it keeps its striking hue without staining other ingredients, combining practicality with delicious taste.

Each plant in the collection has been carefully selected for strong performance, exceptional eating quality, and proven reliability in Fothergill’s own trials. Quick to establish and easy to grow, these varieties are perfect for both novice gardeners and experienced enthusiasts seeking dependable, flavour-focused results.

Collection Includes (10 plants of each):

  • Cabbage Marquess F1 – A versatile and hardy spring cabbage, reliable and easy to grow for consistently excellent results.
  • Cabbage Red Bowl – Sweet, crisp, and vibrant red; an ideal choice for salads and coleslaw, with non-bleeding flesh for added convenience.
  • Calabrese Monclano – Firm domed heads with fine beads, clubroot-resistant and excellent for autumn harvests.
  • Cauliflower Clapton F1 – Dense, white heads of superb quality for late summer and autumn, with strong disease resistance.
  • Kale Dwarf Green Curled – Compact, tightly curled leaves perfect for continuous autumn and winter harvests, full of flavour and nutrition.

All plants are supplied at the ideal stage for transplanting, ensuring fast establishment and dependable home-grown ingredients. With Fothergill’s, you benefit from high-quality, tried-and-tested plants, alongside friendly guidance every step of the way, making growing from seed easy, fun, and rewarding for everyone.
