Product Description
GW veg seed collection contains 10 packets of vegetable seeds.
1 packet of each of the following varieties:
Broad Bean Suttons produces abundant crops on dwarf plants, ideal for successional sowings. Hardy, stocky plant, suitable for more exposed locations and small gardens. White seeded variety - Autumn & Spring sowing.
Brussels Sprout Windsor F1 - Deliciously sweet and firm dark green sprouts, ideal for producing large crops ready to pick for Christmas dinner.
Cabbage Minicole - Ballhead. Excellent flavour. Stands for up to 2 months with little waste. A firm favourite which is excellent for the smaller garden.
Carrot Early Nantes 5. An extremely popular, well established, early variety. The blunt ended roots have outstanding flavour, producing high quality 'finger' carrots. It’s known as the ‘classic’ carrot and has good uniform roots. Great colour and a crisp texture makes this variety an excellent addition to summer salads.
Cauliflower Clapton F1. Heavy, dense, late summer and autumn caulis of superb quality. The Very white heads are carried high of the ground, so are kept very clean. Highly clubroot resistant.
Celery Loretta - British-bred, self-blanching variety that has good uniformity and vigour. Produces thick, fleshy, smooth, upright stems. Plants are tall and attractive. Has reduced stringiness, sweet flavour and crunchy texture.
Kale Starbor F1 - Compact plants produce prolific, year round yields. Delicious eaten raw or steamed. Very winter-hardy.
Leek Musselburgh - Very hardy and reliable, especially in colder regions. This Victorian variety is still a great favourite, producing leeks with thick, rather than short stems of very good flavour. A mid-season variety.
Spinach Emilia F1 - Resistant to downy mildew races 1-10, slow to bolt. Fast growing, for baby leaf or mature plants.
Turnip Sweet Marble F1 - Fast growing, sweet tasting roots with no bitter aftertaste. Can be eaten raw or cooked and the leaves can be used as spinach.
